Dissolved oxygen sensor Chemitec S423/C/OPT

Chemitec's S423/C/OPT is a digital oxygen measurement sensor with integrated temperature probe.

The measurement technique is based on the following optical principle: a diode emits blue light onto a substrate to which a fluorescent substrate is applied. The substrate reacts by initially emitting a red light (luminescence) and then returns to its initial state. The intensity of the red light produced and the rate of return to the initial state are related to the concentration of oxygen present. This innovative method allows reliable and accurate measurements without drift over time, so that calibration of the system is no longer necessary.

It is maintenance-free, except for the replacement of the luminescent holder approximately every two years. The system does not consume oxygen and is therefore suitable for a wide range of applications, including those where the measuring liquid is almost stationary.
