Safety valve Blower
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Safety Valve Blower
BLSV safety relief valves are used to limit the pressure or vacuum in side channel blowers. When the recommended pressure or vacuum is exceeded, the valve opens and, by connecting the internal part of the blower to atmosphere, prevents the design limit of the blower from being exceeded. The discharge connection can be, depending on the plant design, either open to atmosphere directly or ducted to a discharge pipe.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The fluid pressure opposes the force exerted by the spring on the plug. The valve starts to open when the fluid pressure overcomes the spring force and reaches the fully open position. When the pressure drops below the set pressure, the valve closes.
INTENDED USE
BLSV valves are suitable:
Depending on the type of installation of the blower unit (see document "Blower installation diagram"), the position of the safety relief valve is different:
The inlet gas temperature must be between -15° and +160°C.
