Seko's range of side channel blowers is an effective solution for air displacement in many applications.
Side channel blowers are the first choice in many automation projects requiring large volumes of clean, dry air at low pressures and vacuum. Seko's product offering is characterised by ease of installation, as are the rest of its products, with low operating noise levels and low energy consumption.
This type of blower operates on the side channel principle and can operate to both suck in and compress air and is designed for continuous operation. The impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft and this, together with a specially moulded housing to form the side channel, provides frictionless operation. SEKO side channel blowers are made of cast aluminium, which ensures maximum robustness and easy handling. No lubrication is necessary because there is no contact between the static and rotating parts. In addition, as there are no wear parts, they are virtually maintenance-free.
They can be positioned horizontally or vertically for ease of installation and minimum space requirement.
The rated engine power determines the maximum differential pressure of the blower. Silencers fitted on the sides of the intake and exhaust system ensure quiet operation. Maximum operating reliability, even at high differential, is ensured by having the bearings outside the compression chamber.
All SEKO blowers use 2-pole motors and the range includes single-phase or three-phase motors. The dual frequency (50/60 Hz) makes the devices usable in many regions of the world, while the design choice of placing the bearings outside the compression chamber allows them to tolerate high operating temperatures and improves the reliability and service life of the blower. The machines are suitable for inverter operation.
Following the casting and die-casting of aluminium alloys, the machining of the finished parts and the precise cutting process ensure an improvement in terms of precision compared to traditional technologies. The impeller design improves the overall performance of the machine, while its IP55 protection and class F electrical insulation make it suitable for hundreds of applications worldwide.
The characteristic data given here refer to gas handling with an inlet temperature of 15°C, normal density of 1.23 kg/m3 , and a standard density of 1.23 kg/m3 .3 and absolute pressure of 1023 mbar. Tolerance of ±10%.
